On Friday, July 27, the U. S. Coast Guard Barque Eagle made her grand entry into the Port of Miami, with City, County, local Law enforcement, Department of Homeland Security, U. S. Coast Guard and 10 Auxiliary boats as escorts. Berthed at Bicentennial Park, she was open to the public for deck tours. and over two thousand guests made the visit a success. Auxiliary members of Division 6, were quickly briefed and trained on board to be the official tour guides for visitors on Saturday and Sunday. Auxiliarists played a critical role as the cadet crews were being changed out, and one hundred and fifty new cadets were reporting for duty. The crew who normally conducts the tours were busy with the ship personnel changes and orientations.
